Juvenile Red spotted severum

Severums are a relatively docile larger species of cichlid. They can reach lengths of up to 12". They will sometimes become aggressive when pairing just as any cichlid does. Red spotted severums have been selectively bred for more color on their bodies. The color pattern does not fully come in until the juveniles are approaching maturity. For optimal color development we recommend maintaining a high carotene diet throughout growth. Our hobby discus center red boost soft granules are an optimal food for this purpose as they have 3000ppm astaxanthin.

The fish you'll recieve will be 1.5-2" in length.
